The Idea

To create a small community of business leaders who meet monthly for a year to discover the best ways to connect with 15–25-year-olds from Generation Z and soon, Generation Alpha. These meetings would each be 90-minutes long, very interactive yet also a place to uncover primary data and best-practices on leading young team members.

The Need

In a 2023 survey among employers by ResumeBuilder.com, two-thirds said they’re more likely to fire Gen Z workers than older team members, sometimes in the first week of employment. Frequently, there is a clash of values and work habits between the veteran and the rookie.

The Issues

These business leaders will be from various industries, but have one reality in common: they all employ young team members. The group will center on ensuring these young team members learn to think and act like leaders and embody company values. The issues could be:

  • Helping an amoral generation develop a values-based conscience and strong morals.
  • Equipping young teammates to cultivate emotional intelligence and basic work skills.
  • Teaching the youngest team members to communicate well.
  • Building a strong work ethic and a passion for the God-given gift of labor.
  • Developing both confidence and humility in Generation Z and the Alpha Gen.
  • Leading young team members in a relevant fashion—becoming both timeless & timely.
  • Gaining ideas to better connect with younger team members at work.
